About Brenda

Well, where do I start, at the grand age of 38 I decided that enough was enough, I was tired of my life and generally not in a good headspace or mindset.

Trying to tackle motherhood, work, be a housewife, be a good friend, partner etc. Life seemed so overwhelming.  I was reaching breaking point. I was in a spiral of physical self harming, addiction, weight issues, alongside other physical and emotional issues, growing past any form of self-control, I was self-harming my body, drinking to blackouts daily, emotionally eating followed by self-induced vomiting, as well as battling anxiety and depression, the list is endless. I have experienced many types of abuse, physical, emotional, financial, and my self-esteem was so low I lost who I was. It was a vicious circle of one struggle after another. My question was, how do I change and rid these toxic behaviors and challenges that I have?

So, I decided enough was enough and something had to change, I made a gradual process to make lifestyle changes which can be achievable and not a short term 'diet or health trend' I needed to make permanent lifestyle changes.  I took a leap of faith and gave up my career, I now help and provide education to help others make better choices, so that they can benefit from making lifestyle changes. My health, physically, emotionally and spiritually has vastly improved, I have a balanced lifestyle with regards to health, work, wealth, relationships, family, and not forgetting myself.

I come from a Sport & Health sector background and my passion is to help others to thrive in life. I have developed workshops with evidence based and up to date information, I have studied mental health and wellbeing, and AOD in Aotearoa. I am happy to tailor programs to meet your needs.

Beyond the ordinary

Our passion is to reduce the struggle of our community who are living with life's challenges of mental health distress or substance abuse, or general life struggles. We offer community education and support. There is a national strain on the mental health and addiction services in Aotearoa, and I believe we need to work together and support each other so that our whanau, and wider community can learn and heal.

How do we do this?

We achieve this by providing education, support, resources, and skill development in areas where challenges have been identified. educating, supporting and giving resources and skills in areas where they identified.

This is where our journey begins. Get to know our business and what we do, and how we're committed to quality and great service. Join us as we grow and succeed together.
